Applebee's International develops, franchises and operates casual dining restaurants under the name "Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar~®" (Applebee's). Additionally, Co. provides its customers the convenience of carry-out service. As of Dec 31 2006, Co. had 1,930 Applebee's restaurants, by which its franchisees operated 1,409 of these restaurants and 521 restaurants were company-operated. Co.'s restaurants are located in 49 states, 16 countries outside of the U.S. and one U.S. territory at Dec 31 2006. Each of Co.'s restaurants offers a diverse menu of moderately-priced food and beverage items consisting of traditional favorites and signature dishes.
