The carpet producer Desso Holding NV, Waalwijk/Netherlands, has taken over the Dutch carpet manufacturer Enia Carpet NL Holding BV, Goirle. In 2009, Enia Carpet's turnover lay at € 50 million. Under the trademarks Parade and Bonaparte, Enia develops, produces and sells carpets for end-users, especially in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria. Furthermore, Enia also supplies the European office equipment market. The stated objective of Desso is to achive the cradle-to-cradle principle for all its products by 2020. By the end of 2010, 75 % of Desso's carpet tiles should have the cradle-to-cradle certificate. This is currently only the case for 25% of the carpet tiles. The German production site, Enia Carpet Deutschland GmbH, Paderborn, is not affected by the takeover.
