Mayer & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG, Albstadt/Ger-many, is on course to sell over 1,000 machines in 2012, due to the strong response to its latest circular knitting machine developments in the emerging markets. The 2 product novelties, OVJA 1.6 E in gauge 36 and MSC 3.2, presented for the first time at ITMA Asia 2012 in Shanghai/China have received a good international response. While the fully electronic double jersey machine OVJA 1.6 E in gauge 36 was designed particularly for the production of fabrics in the sectors sportswear and ladies' underwear, the new machine line MSC 3.2 offers a qualitatively high alternative to Chinese circular knitting machinery in single jersey applications. In Indonesia 20 machines were ordered almost straight away.
