Jacquard healds at a glance

At the present time, it is possible to distinguish between jacquard healds by means of the wire diameter and the mail eye used. In this article by Groz-Beckert AG, Albstadt/Ger-many, the important information is presented on the product advantages of the mono wire heald is compared with the twin wire heald, e.g. for the processing of abrasive or chemically treated yarns. Wire surface, material used, and reproduc-ibility of the healds are important parameters when comparing mono wire jacquard healds with glued thread eyes and twin wire jacquard healds with soldered thread eyes.
