MÉDECINE NUCLÉAIRE, QUALITÉ ET NORMES ISO 9000 : QUEL AVENIR ? SYNTHÈSE ET POINT DE VUE SUR LE MANAGEMENT DE LA QUALITÉ

De plus en plus exigeant, complexe et évolutif, le contexte actuel des institutions de santé appelle un nouveau type de management capable d''adaptation permanente, et orienté vers la satisfaction de ses partenaires, patients, médecins, collaborateurs et administration. Entre tous, quelle démarche adopter et quels bénéfices en retirer ? Les normes ISO 9000 proposent un système de management de la qualité générique et universel qui a été conçu et mis en œuvre dans la Division de médecine nucléaire de l''Hôpital cantonal de Genève où il a débouché sur l''obtention du label selon ISO 9002 pour son Laboratoire d''ostéo-densitométrie et d''analyse de composition corporelle (LODAC). Le système présenté dans cet article utilise des indicateurs qualité et une série d''outils de détection de dysfonctionnements qui, analysés périodiquement, permettent la prise de mesures correctrices et préventives, et garantissent la pérennité de la qualité interne et externe.%Considering the high level of technology involved in our field and its rapid evolution, we obviously need a solid new type of management. As o public institution, we have to develop a patient-oriented spirit as well as to give evidence of the efficiency of our performance. The issue is: what system to choose for what benefits ? The ISO 9000 standards provide a solution which was developed and implemented in the nuclear medicine division of Geneva University Hospital where its bone densitometry laboratory was certified according to ISO 9002 specifications in September 98. The key concept of the system is continuous improvement. It is achieved through o series of quality indicators and tools monitored on a monthly basis which allow for the detection of dysfunction, followed by immediate corrective response: a guarantee for maintaining both external and internal quality at its best level.
