LE QUINAPRIL AMÉLIORE LE STOCKAGE DU GLUCOSE CHEZ DES PATIENTS OBÈSES, HYPERTENDUS ET DYSLIPIDÉMIQUES

Le but de notre travail était d'évaluer les effets du quinapril (Accupro~®) (inhibiteur de l'enzyme de conversion) sur la résistance à l'insuline et sur plusieurs paramètres métaboliques et énergétiques. Douze sujets hypertendus (150 ± 2/96 ± 1 mmHg), obèses (BMI 33,3 ± 0,8 kg/m~2) et dyslipidémiques ont été étudiés avant et après douze semaines de traitement de quinapril. La pression artérielle s'est améliorée significativement après traitement (p < 0,001), la résistance à l'insuline est restée sans modifications significatives avec, cependant, une amélioration du stockage du glucose de 24%. Le profil lipidique (triglycérides et HDL-cholestérol) s'est amélioré significativement après le traitement de quinapril (p < 0,05). La dépense énergétique et l'oxydation du glucose diminuent également après traitement (p < 0,05, et p < 0,001 respectivement). En conclusion, le quinapril a un effet intéressant sur le profil lipidique et améliore la captation du glucose en périphérie.%We evaluated the effects of quinapril (Accupro~®) on insulin resistance and different metabolic and energetic parameters. Twelve hypertensive (mean blood pressure 150 ± 2/96 ± 1 mmHg), obese Imean body mass index BMI 33 ± 0,8 kg/m~2) and dyslipidemic outpatients were studied before and after a period of 12 weeks of treatment by quinapril. The blood pressure improved significantly after treatment (p < 0,001) and insulin resistance remained unchanged with on improvement of glucose storage of 24%. Serum lipid concentration Itriglycerides and HDL-cholesterol) also improved significantly with quinapril. Energy expenditure and glucose oxidation diminished after treatment (p < 0,05 and p < 0,001 respectively). In conclusion, the quinapril has an interesting effect on serum lipid concentration and can improve the peripheral glucose uptake.
