摘要

This is an invaluable book which ought to be read by all those today around the world who are trying to free us from the perils of accidental or deliberaternuse of nuclear weapons. This struggle of course started before there ever was a Bomb. Some of the scientists involved (but by no means all of them), who knew what was possible, tried to warn politicians in advance. Clement Attlee, just two weeks after the nuclear bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, wrote a memo in which he made those future perils clear.
