Personal care article having inter-meshing flaps

An absorbent personal care article, such as a sanitary napkin, panty-liner or incontinence pad, with inter-meshing flaps has been developed by Kimberly-Clark. Disclosed in US Patent 8 986 273 by the company of Neenah, Wisconsin, USA, the foldable flaps or wings are used to properly position and attach the absorbent articles to undergarments or other articles of clothing. As illustrated in Figure 6, two wings (20, 30) with a length of 95-145 mm are positioned on both longitudinal sides of the absorbent article (10).
