"SUBSTANTIALLY DRY DISPOSABLE PERSONAL CARE ITEM AND SUITABLE FOR CLEANING; SKIN AND HAIR CLEANING METHOD; SUBSTANTIALLY DRY DISPOSABLE PERSONAL CARE ARTICLE; DISPOSABLE PERSONAL CARE ARTICLE. The present invention relates to a disposable, substantially dry personal care article comprising: a) a water-insoluble substrate comprising: 1) a first soft layer that exhibits a Total Scraping Coverage value of less than about 17%; and 2) a second exfoliating layer that is disposed adjacent to said first layer, wherein said second layer exhibits a Total Scraping Coverage Value between about 17% to about 70%, and b) a cleaning component arranged in adjacent to said first and second layers, wherein said component comprises between about 10% to about 1,000% by weight of the water-insoluble substrate of a foaming surfactant. The present invention also relates to a disposable, substantially dry personal care article suitable for conditioning. These articles have been found to be particularly useful for personal cleaning applications, ie for skin and hair.
