Methods for forming absorbent articles from nonwoven substrates are disclosed by Procter & Gamble in US Patent 9 504 610. The nonwoven substrates are designed to match, or at least come close to matching, the advantageous properties of elastomeric films, such as low-surface-tension fluid-strikethrough times, while providing comfort to users and cost advantages to manufacturers, says the company of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
