A method for forming a base knit suitable for manufacturinga one-piece, H-shaped hernia prostheses is disclosed byMedtronic Sofradim Production. The method is said to allowsimple and rapid production of such devices in a costeffectiveway, according to the company of Trévoux, France.Outlined in US Patent 11,028,509, the prosthetic base knit (1), formed in a single knitting step, is composed of twoparallel sheets (2,3) of a porous knitted fabric that are joinedin a discrete manner by connecting yarns (4).
