According to the company of Wallingford, Connecticut, USA, the haemostatic bandages and wound dressings include: 1. a substrate, such as a gauze or sponge; 2. a haemostatic material, such as kaolin clay; 3. a binder disposed on the substrate to retain the haemostatic material.
