While traveling across 48 states and eating at 365 barbecue joints in a calendar year, Johnny Fugitt knew he'd hear some entertaining stories. But one of his favorites came from the owner of a barbecue joint in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The owner, John "Big Daddy" Bishop, wanted a change in life and was debating between starting a mortuary or a barbecue restaurant. After praying one night and logging a good night's sleep, Bishop woke up, and thanks to divine influence, knew he should open a restaurant. Ever since then, he's used smoke and fire to produce award-winning barbecue in his restaurant, appropriately called Dreamland. Like Bishop, it was a little bit of a dream for Fugitt to accomplish this road trip.
