摘要

One-dimensional magnesium borate nanostructure materials, including the MgB_4O_7 nanowires, Mg_3B_2O_6 nanotubes or nanobelts, and Mg_2B_2O_5 nanowires or whiskers, have attracted much attention in recent years owing to their potential applications in the manufacture of the composites or the semiconductors. Traditionally, Mg_2B_2O_5 whiskers could be prepared by the flux method using MgO/MgCl_2, H_3BO_3, KOH/NaOH as the raw materials and KCl/NaCl as the flux, but the existence of the agglomerate byproduct and the high energy consumption limited its practical utilisation.
