Investigation of the lead indium noibate-lead magnesium noibate solid solution

摘要

This paper describes the first study on processing and electrical properties of ceramics in the (x)Pb(In_1/2Nb_1/2)O_3:(1-x)Pb(Mg_1/3Nb_2/3)O_3 [PIMN(x/100-x)] solid solution system with x-50 mol/100. Pellets were sintered at 1100degC resulting in phase-pure perovskite ceramics with 98/100 theoretical density. These ceramics displayed typical relaxor ferroelectric behavior with a maximum dielectric constant of 8056 at 26degC. A slight polarization hysteresis was observed at 25degC. A maximum induced polarization of 23.95μC/cm~2 and remanent polarization of 1.2μC/cm~2 at the peak field level of 48 kV/cm was measured. The strain and electrostriction coefficient were measured, the values were in the range of x_33=8.12 x 10!-4 and Q_33=1.42 x 1-~-2 m~4/C~2, respectively. The low hysteres is in X_33 and low values of P_r make this solid solution attractive for further study.
