Solvothermal synthesis and characterization of CdS nanowires/PVA composite films

摘要

Poly vinyl-alcohol (PVA) has been used as the matrix to synthesize CdS nanowires/PVA composite films by means of the solvothermal method. The as-obtained films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption, and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The results confirmed that the as-synthesized CdS nanowires dispersed in the composite film showed longer length and larger aspect ratio compared with the sample prepared in the absence of PVA. The growth mechanism of the CdS nanowires and their spectroscopic properties were also discussed.
