Optical properties of Ca_3TaGa_3Si_2O_(14) single crystal

摘要

The interference patterns of polarized light are measured by polarizing microscopy. The specific rotation p of Ca_3NbGa_3Si_2O_(14) (CTGS) piezoelectric single crystal is determined from 200 to 850nm by measuring the optical transmission between parallel polarizers in <001> direction. It is shown that Ca_3TaGa_3Si_2O_(14) has quite large a value of rho which is a little smaller than that of Ca_3NbGa_3Si_2O_(14) (CNGS).
