摘要

The preparation and magnetic properties of nanosize Ce~(3+) added MgCuZn ferrite powders have been investigated. The obtained powders were investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) techniques. High energy ball milling enabled result in direct formation of single phase MgCuZn ferrite powders at a low temperature (700 ℃). Lattice constants (a) and crystallite size were calculated from the XRD data. The values of lattice constants increased with an increase of Ce_2O_3. The crystallite sizes were in the range of 35-50 nm. The saturation magnetization (M_s) increased with the addition of Ce_2O_3.
