Potentiostatically Deposited MnO_2 Thin Film for Supercapacitor Application

In the present investigation, MnO_2 thin films have been prepared by potentiostatic mode of electrodeposition. The effects of different potentials on structural, surface morphological, electrochemical and supercapacitive properties of MnO_2 thin films have been investigated. For the structural properties Raman spectroscopy has been used and morphological study was done using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique. Electrochemical properties were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The electrochemical and supercapacitive properties of MnO_2 thin films have been studied in 1 M Na_2SO_4 electrolyte. The maximum supercapacitance has been observed for 1.6 V/Ag/AgCl.
