Development of Structural Masonry Standards in the United States A Look Back at where we've come from, with a Glimpse of the Future

摘要

This paper reviews the history of structural masonry standard development during the first 40 years of The Masonry Society's existence, along with efforts by other organizations. For historical purposes, the paper also describes some systems and conventions used by the Society so that future TMS leaders are aware of what they are, and why they were developed.
