New vessel for German Waterways Board

'Stickers gap', A new purpose-designed survey vessel built by Dutch-based No Limit Ships of Groningen, has begun service with the Federal German Waterways & Shipping Board (WSA). Its builders say that it has been specially modified to sail safely under the toughest weather conditions in both shallow and stormy outer waters of the River Elbe in Northern Germany. Fitted with a nozzle to protect propellers if and when it touches the riverbed, the 16.4 metre vessel is designed and constructed in such a way that its draught never exceeds 1 metre. Onboard survey equipment has been provided by Kongsberg.
