The pinnacle of success for the Royal Huisman Shipyard came in 1984 at the yard's 100th anniversary, when the shipyard was awarded the designation 'Royal' by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. This honour is given only to a few select companies that achieve worldwide recognition in their particular field of business. The 'Royal' prefix sets a standard by which each company with this accolade is compelled to continually measure itself in the future years with undi-minished effort. Since that honour the yard has won numerous awards for the innovation and quality of their yachts from the Superyacht Society and in the prestigious ShowBoats International Awards.
