After successful sea trials, the 'Evie PC was handed over to her owners on August 31 st 2007. The vessel is one of the last ships from the Volharding yard to be built in the Netherlands. The shipyard will continue to build ships in Turkey and China.The remaining labour force of ca. 40 people will operate fromVolharding's head office in Westerbroek. While the entire construction process is moved abroad, the design, project management, sales and marketing remain in Holland. The shipyard will thus transform from a shipbuilder into a design and project management company.
