On Friday 30th of January 2009 IHC Merwede BV launched a new Multi Purpose Offshore Support Vessel for Hornbeck Offshore Services LLC of Covington in Louisiana United States. The launching took place at the IHC Merwede Offshore & Marine facility in Hardinxveld-Giessendam, the Netherlands. In April 2007 IHC Merwede Offshore & Marine was granted the order to design and build the new Multi Purpose Offshore Support Vessel for Hornbeck Offshore Services.
