In December 2008, the first of ten patrol vessels in a new series for the Dutch Ministry of Public Works and Water Management was delivered to her owners. The series was designed from the ground up with a clear view of the projected use. With their core task being traffic control on inland waterways and inspection of waterways and the related infrastructure, the vessels will also be used for surveillance and emergency assistance. The brief thus called for a compact, fast and manoeuvrable multi-purpose craft.
