The global cruise industry has weathered the crisis well, with yearly growing passenger numbers. River cruising in particular has seen steady growth. Australian family-owned cruise operator Scenic Tours have recently added a fifth ship to their fleet: the Scenic Pearl. Branded as a 'Space-Ship' because of the ample amount of space, all around visibility and great passenger comfort, the Scenic Pearl will be one of the few river cruise vessels in Europe to feature two full decks of private balcony suites and to operate at 5 star level.
