Sea Trucks Group announced the appointment of Robert-Jan van Acker as their chief executive officer. Van Acker (39), with over 13 years experience in the international marine industry, joins Sea Trucks from Svitzer Group, where he worked for over ten years in a series of increasingly senior management positions. Van Acker led the Salvage, Euromed and Ocean Towage divisions from 2005 onwards, and lately held the position of senior executive vice president as well as being a member of the executive committee of the Svitzer Group. He also established Svitzer India and was managing director of Wijsmuller Ocean Sparkle JV.
