New CEO at IHC Merwede

On 1 September Dirk Philips started his new function as CEO of IHC Merwede. He succeeded Govert Hamers, who will step back from his current role on 1 October and then join the company's Supervisory Board. Belgian national Philips has worked both in the maritime and the offshore sector and has extensive experience as a CEO and board member of major international industrial companies. In addition, the Board of Management, consisting of Philips and Dave Vander Heyde (CFO), will be expanded with the appointment of a new COO, namely the current director of the company's Dredging division, Bram Roelse. Roelse has been working for IHC Merwede for twelve years, during which time he has taken a high level of responsibility within the group's business activities. Before joining the company, he has also gained experience in the military shipbuilding and oil and gas industries.
