There's no doubt that unmanned, fully automated ships will be sailing the seven seas sooner or later. Technological developments, after all, continue to Forge ahead. In 15 to 20 years' time, the first of these crewless ships may be crossing the oceans. Once the port of destination comes into sight, however, a team of professionals on the bridge will still be needed to complete the last couple of miles.
