You wouldn't expect Bayonne, N.J., to be the site for any groundbreaking news in the cruise industry. Last summer, however, Royal Caribbean International, Miami, chose Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne as the venue for unveiling its new onboard surf park concept that will debut on Royal Caribbean's and the industry's largest cruise ship yet, the 158,000 grt Freedom of the Seas. Royal Caribbean, as you might recall, was the company that brought you rock climbing walls, ice skating rinks and inline skating tracks.
