A five-week upgrade to the 148-passenger Wind Spirit began last month that will add some luxurious touches. Once the ship sails again this month, passengers will see remodeled stateroom bathrooms, expanded beauty salon and spa areas and a refurbished lounge, with new furniture, carpeting, and lighting. One of the things that they won't be able to see, but will certainly take notice of, is cell phone service. The addition of cell phone service is part of Wind Star's "Degree of Difference" upgrades to its three ships. The first ship to undergo the upgrade was the 308-passenger Wind Surf last year.
