Crowley fleet to run on low sulfur diesel

Jacksonville, Florida based Crowley Maritime Corporation, one of a small num-ber of tug companies to be fully SQE (Safety, Quality, Environmen-tal) certified, has decided to operate its entire West Coast harbor tug fleet of 15 on ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. Rainer Petroleum, Puget Sound, Wash.,will supply the ultra low sulfur diesel fuel to Crowley. The reduction in sulfur will result in 16% less particle matter emitted into the air, says Crowley.
