Sweden-based Haki AB's unveiled a lightweight steel scaffolding system that can be suspended and connected anywhere and in any direction, providing flexibili- ty. The design allows for faster assembly, as well as a reduced need for dockside support, resulting in lower costs and more flexibility for the shipyards. All beams and guardrails are supplied with spring locking catches and are made of high tensile steel, resulting in up to 20% lower weight for the same strength. The weight-savings on the stairtower components are even more significant: 30% of the weight could be saved here, thanks to an innovative design and clever choice of material.
