The U.S. has the world's Largest fleet of oceangoing tugs by horsepower and also one of the oldest. As if proving the adage, old tugs never die, they just get rebuilt and repowered, a 65-year-old tug has found a new home. The 3,600 bhp, U.S.-flag tug Island Warrior (ex-Tatnuck, Ocean Warrior, Marine Constructor, Tatnuck, ATA 195) was recently sold by Island Tug & Barge Co., Seattle, Wash, to Western Pacific buyers, according to ship broker Marcon International, Inc., Coupe-ville, Wash.
