One of the world's richest people, Brazil's Eike Batista, raised about $1.6 billion in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for his oil services and shipbuilding venture, OSX Brasil SA. OSX had hoped to raise as much as S5.5 billion in the IPO.rnDuring a ceremony for OSX in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Batista said, "Markets are difficult. Outside Brazil, foundations are rebalancing their portfolios, and they are large investors. But the second half it will get better with the U.S. getting back to creating jobs."
