Boston Harbor Cruises is the nation's Largest private operator of passenger vessels. Founded in 1926 by Matthew Hughes, the business began with one vessel, the M/V Nelly, two full-time employees, and a 30-minute cruise Boston Harbor Cruises through the Charles River. 86 years later, under the leadership of Hughes' grandsons Rick and Chris Nolan, and great granddaughter Alison Nolan, BHC has 23 vessels in its fleet and employs 175 year-round employees and 350 seasonal employees.
