AMERICAN PRIORITIES

President Obama has been repeating a number of objectives over the last two years. He says that America needs to: • be more environmentally conscious • be more fuel efficient • expand exports to create jobs • promote Marine Highways to reduce congestion • promote industry/government partnerships to find innovative ways to solve problems It is hard to understand why the one mode of transportation that can help America and our President meet these objectives, inland waterways transportation, is constantly ignored by this administration.
