JONRIE EQUIPS DOCKING ISRAELI TUGS WITH WINCHES

When two new navy ship Docking tugs were delivered from Israel Shipyards Ltd.'s Haifa Shipyard this past summer, they included some New Jersey spirit in them. That's because the compact 17m tugs feature equipment from Manahawkin, NJ-based JonRie InterTech. Each tug has JonRie Series 200 hawser winches on the bow, complete with windlass and gypsy heads. The winches have a line pull of five tons, a line speed of 45 meters, and a brake capacity of 60 tons. Additionally, each tug has a JonRie Series 416 capstan with a line pull of 3 tons and line speed of 30 m.
