Vigor to Build Pioneering Wave Energy Converter Buoy

VIGOR IS taking on a project that could generate power for thousands and reduce CO_2 emission. The Oregon-based shipbuilder was recently contracted by Irish company Ocean Energy-the Irish government agency for the advancement of innovation, entrepreneurship and international business by Irish firms- to build itsrnpioneering OE Buoy wave energy conver-tor. Once completed, the OE Buoy will be deployed at the U.S. Navy's Wave Energy Test Site on the windward coast of the Hawaiian island of O'ahu in the fall of 2018.
