While the pandemic significantly depressed ferry use over the past 18 months, ridership is continuously increasing in most markets, and operators are scaling up service to meet demand that in many spots still isn't at pre-pandemic levels. As pandemic restrictions are lifted, service routes are being added and plans for ferry system expansions are still in the works.
