On September 12, the Senate Appropriations Committee marked up and approved—by a vote of 31-0—the first of its Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) appropriations bills, the Energy and Water Development (E&WD) and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. This bill funds the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Energy programs and the Bureau of Reclamation. Perhaps most significant in the Senate bill was its recommendation to again adjust the cost-share for Chickamauga Lock on the Tennessee River.
