Annex VI enters into force

The bunker industry has had confirmation of some long-anticipated, but nevertheless highly significant news. Marpol Annex VI has officially been ratified by the necessary fifteen states that control over 50% of world merchant shipping tonnage. This means that Annex VI comes into force on 19 May 2005.
