Propelling the future of propulsion

One of the world's leading practitioners of that specialist art which is propeller design is Dr Graham Patience, Managing Director of Stone Manganese Marine. In a recent conversation with MER he discussed the current state of propeller building around the world and commented that every manufacturer is full up with work and the major problem today is one of delivery. He cites a typical delivery period at present for a propeller of reasonable size as anywhere between 18 months and two years and pointed out that in all probability it would be manufactured in the Far East with China offering the best delivery dates.
