New Eco Unit To Develop Waertsilae's Green Initiative

In order to strengthen its position as a leader in environmental solutions, Waertsilae has just announced it is to open up a new centralised environmental products 'know-how' unit. The unit, called the Delivery Centre Ecotech (DC Ecotech), will focus mainly on developing and delivering green products that enable the reduction of emissions and improve effi- ciencies. Headed up by the President of Waertsilae Finland and current Vice President of the Delivery Centre Vaasa Finland, Mr Juha Kytola intends to have the unit fully opera- tional by January 2009. While Waertsilae has established itself in engine emissions reduction equipment, DC Ecotech will focus on the further development of this technology.
