TRANSAS ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR UPGRADES

Simulator specialist Transas has announced two new programmes and a systems upgrade for its ERS 4000 engine room simulator ASD tug model - The popularity of Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugs has grown constantly due to their increased efficiency and lower maintenance costs when compared to the Voith Schneider Tractor tugs. With the increasing numbers of such vessels special training is needed. To meet this need, Transas has developed a new ASD tug version of its ERS4000 engine room simulator which enables all levels of training including familiarisation for junior engineers and training in basic operations.
