Transas supplies simulators to Argentine engineering centre

Transas Marine has delivered an engineroom simulator to the Centre for Marine Engineering Officers and Chief Engineers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It installed an ERS 5000 TechSim system for training engineers from naval vessels, merchant ships and tugs in the latest machinery and technology. The simulator complex consists of a classroom for training in diesel propulsion, steam, and azimuth stern drive (ASD) tug plant with eight workstations. There is also a classroom for teaching refrigeration plant operation with four workstations. The ERS 5000 TechSim has a full mission simulator that imitates tanker plant operations and another simulator for steam plant with high voltage equipment, which fully complies with the latest IMO requirements. There are also two instructor stations with tools for evaluation and assessment.
