Pleasure craft engine deal

Caterpillar and FPT Industrial have announced an agreement covering marine pleasure craft engines. By combining Caterpillar's marine know-how and FPT's leading edge technology, the new Cat C8.7 and Cat C12.9, with a displacement of 8.7I and 12.91 respectively, will offer yacht manufacturers a broad array of horsepower ratings ranging from 650 to 1,000hp. Further, to meet customers' requirements, each engine will be offered in several different configurations, all of which will conform to Tier Ⅲ emissions regulations.
