Held in central London on the on the 9-1 Oth May 2013 - the week prior to the 65th MEPC session, the annual IMarEST ballast water technology conference provided a platform for industry members to discuss topics related to compliance and enforcement (the conference themes). The convention has stagnated - resting at 29% of tonnage rather than the 35% required for ratification, and seems unlikely to progress further unless these issues are addressed in a transparent manner.
