DAY IN THE LIFE

As I look to hit the snooze button I can't help but notice the red light flashing on my BlackBerry. The beauty of having regional offices around the world is that we can attend to our affiliates' needs 24/7. I go through the overnight emails, respond to the urgent ones and plan out my day accordingly. No time to snooze. As I grab my coffee and head to the office, I realise today will be one of those rare days where I'll be dealing exclusively with seafarer-related issues (barring emergencies). The ITF also represents workers and unions in civil aviation, inland navigation, railways, road transport, urban transport and tourism, ports, and fisheries.
