9th International Estuarine Biogeochemistry Symposium—Estuaries and enclosed seas under changing environmental conditions

The 9th International Estuarine Biogeochemistry Symposium continued a series of meetings with special emphasis on the fundamental understanding of estuarine processes. The Symposium was held in Warnemuende, Germany, from May 7 to 11,2006, and organized by the Baltic Sea Research Institute, Warnemuende (IOW), and the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), Bremerhaven. The meeting was supported by grants of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany (Bundes-ministerium fuer Bildung und Forschung), IOW and AWI.
